Welcome to the Municipal & Earned Income Tax Office's web site!
Our site has been designed to help our taxpayers, employers, and tax professionals to gain access to local tax information and forms. Our office opened in the 1960's and was created for the purposes of collecting and distributing earned income taxes for the surrounding school districts and municipalities under the provisions of their earned income tax resolutions. We are the Earned Income Tax Collector for the following school districts: Shikellamy, Line Mountain , Warrior-Run, and the Milton School District and their 29 associated municipalities located in Northumberland, Union, and Montour counties. We do not collect any other tax such as: Occupational, Real Estate, or EMS. If you are an employer, or individiual and need assistance with those taxes, you would have to contact the municipality in which your business is located for more information.
Our goal is to provide a courteous and cost efficient service to our members. Our employees are knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to assist our taxpayers and employers in our service area. The office is located in the basement of the Shikellamy School District Administration Building at the above address. The entrance is on the right side of the building and our hours are listed above.
Please Note:
There is a problem with Microsoft's code for Internet Explorer 8.0 that will not allow you to view the Earned Income Tax submenu on the Information Menu. You will need to use a browser lower than 8.0. Microsoft anticipated this problem in their code and added a tool called Compatibility Mode into the browser that allows the user to view a site in IE7. This is a good workaround to view the site for now. Below is a link with more information about Compatibility Mode.
