Any citizen of this Commonwealth, having a good moral character, being eighteen (18) years of age or upwards, and having been a resident of the district for at least one (1) year prior to the date of his election or appointment, shall be eligible for the office of school director.

The appointee will serve the unexpired portion of the vacant seat until the school board election in November 2017. The unexpired term is until December 2017.

Letters of application, which will be received at the Island Park Administration Center until August 8, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. EST, should be addressed as follows:

Letters of application should include name, address, and telephone number (day and evening).
Interviews will be held on August 10, 2017 at 7:00 pm at IPAC. Applicants are expected to attend. The applicant should clearly indicate any scheduled conflict.

The board will appoint one candidate for the vacancy established on June 30, 2017.
Applicants should be available for one (1) regular meeting and two (2) work sessions per month, as well as occasional special committee meetings that may be held.
