Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics Afterschool Program
The STEAM afterschool program is designated for students 6th, 7th and 8th grades and is provided at NO COST to parents with the Cohort 7 grant funding.
The program provides each student with academic assistance and enrichment along with a daily meal provided by the CACFP Grant.
The staff is there to help the students with homework and learning, while also facilitating group activities and enrichment in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. The 21st CCLC uses Explore Learning's Gizmos interactive lessons as well as Stride for enrichment based activities. Other activities throughout the year involve Box of Light Film & Robotics, Physics & Robotics with Customized Tutoring Services. Along with physical activity time, interactive lessons on nutrition with Food for Thought, and many others! Our programs run for 2.5 hours with an additional half hour after the students are dismissed for parents to visit and talk with program staff about their child. We request that all parent meetings be scheduled 24 hours ahead of time but are always willing to help should you need to meet immediately.
