Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law

The Shikellamy School District is committed to transparency and accountability. In accordance with the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law (RTKL), members of the public may request access to public records maintained by the District.

The Right-to-Know Law provides individuals with the opportunity to inspect and obtain copies of public records, while also ensuring that records protected by law remain confidential.

Submitting a Right-to-Know Request

Requests for public records must be submitted in writing using the District’s Right-to-Know Request Form. To help ensure timely processing, requests should include:

  • A clear description of the records being requested
  • The preferred method of receiving the records (electronic or paper copies)
  • Contact information for the requester

Requests may be submitted by mail, email, or in person to the District’s Right-to-Know Officer.
